Colon cancer rates are rising among young adults. Colon cancer can occur in people in their 20s.While colon cancer has been traditionally thought of as a condition that mainly impacts the elderly, case numbers are rising among young Americans and can even occur inthose who are in their 20s. Colon cancer used to be labelled an “old person’s disease”

That’s not true anymore, and an increasing number of men and women in their 20s,

30s, and 40s are learning that they have colon cancer. The symptoms can be tricky to

spot – the best defence is annual testing.


Colon cancer is the deadliest cancer for men ages 20-49, and the third deadliest for

women of the same age
