Check your fertility without a clinic visit. Your sample is analysed by a registered andrologist to WHO standards, and every result is personally reviewed by a UK GP, who explains what it means and what to do next.
Your report covers eight measures of semen quality, each placed against the World Health Organization reference values:
| Volume | How much semen is produced |
| Concentration | How many sperm there are per millilitre |
| Progressive motility | Sperm swimming forwards |
| Non-progressive motility | Sperm moving but not getting anywhere |
| Total motility | All moving sperm combined |
| Immotile sperm | Sperm that are not moving |
| Vitality | The proportion of sperm that are alive |
| Morphology | The proportion with a normal shape |
You also receive images and video of your sample, so you can see what the andrologist saw.
A laboratory report full of percentages is hard to act on. Every result is personally reviewed by a GMC-registered GP, and the review is sent to you by email. If your results need discussing, a phone or video consultation with the GP is included at no extra cost.
Semen quality varies from one sample to the next, and is affected by recent illness, fever, alcohol, smoking, heat and some medicines. A single result below the reference range is not a diagnosis of infertility. Often the right next step is a repeat test, and the GP will tell you if that applies to you.
Men aged 18 and over in the UK who want to check their fertility: couples starting to try, couples who have been trying for a while, or men who want a baseline. If you and your partner have been trying for a year without success, or six months if your partner is 36 or over, speak to your GP as well. You are both entitled to fertility assessment on the NHS.

This test assesses semen quality. It is not a full fertility assessment and does not replace advice from a doctor.
Follow the period stated in your kit instructions. Abstaining for too short or too long a time can change the count and motility, which makes the result harder to interpret.
The sample is analysed by an HCPC-registered andrologist following WHO guidelines, and the report covers the same core measures. A fertility clinic may repeat the test or add further investigations, depending on your situation.
A GP reviews every result and explains it to you. If your results need discussing, a phone or video consultation is included at no extra cost. One abnormal result is not a diagnosis: semen quality varies, and a repeat test is often the next step.
